In a recent news report on CBS New York, NYC drivers (including at least one NYC TLC driver), shared that they have not been able to access their vehicles for months due to a broken elevator in a Bronx parking garage. The parking garage is reported to be located on East 187th St in the Fordham section of The Bronx. The stuck drivers have been increasingly relying on NYC TLC vehicles to commute.
The owner of the garage stated that the vehicle elevator repairs should be completed by mid-August 🤔. The delay was reportedly caused by a lack of funding and supply chain issues 🤔.
“One month is fine, two months is OK, but three months, four months, now five months and it’s still the same…[most] of my income is lost because my car is [stuck]…not only this, I have to pay insurance and I have to pay everything the same, and they don’t care”
- Yosly Morales, NYC TLC driver
