Business Insider Compares Uber & Lyft Driver Pay Using Gridwise Data in 16 American Cities
NYC is the highest paying rideshare market according to the analysis with Uber and Lyft hourly wages estimated to be $23.36 and $21.16, respectively
Using 2020 data from Gridwise, an app that tracks pay and passenger demand for rideshare drivers, Business Insider compared the average hourly earnings for Uber and Lyft drivers in 16 of the biggest cities in the US.
In NYC, Uber drivers make an estimated $23.36 per hour, while Lyft drivers makes $21.16. For comparison in LA, Uber drivers are estimated to make $16.91 per hour and Lyft drivers $17.22 per hour.
