🙄 Carjacker Rear-ends Revel, Crashes Into Taxi & Then Jumps On Top Of Cadillac Escalade FHV
Man appears to steal a vehicle, rear-ends Revel, crashes into yellow cab (with passengers) and then jumps on top of a new model year Cadillac Escalade, that also appears to be a TLC-plated vehicle
According to several media reports, the beginning of a chaotic series of events one week ago, started with a driver parking his Genesis in Midtown Manhattan on 55th Street and Broadway. Around 11am on Sunday, November 26th, NYPD say 37 year old Terrence Brooks, opened the Genesis’ back door, like he was a passenger, which then scared its driver, who jumped out of the vehicle.
Based on video footage of the incident and reports, Brooks then rear-ends the stolen Genesis into a Revel rideshare vehicle, before colliding into a yellow cab (with passengers) after running a red light. Brooks then finally jumps on roof and hood of a newer model year Cadillac Escalade SUV, which also appears (not confirmed) to be a NYC for-hire vehicle, cracking its windshield before being subdued and arrested by police officers.
Brooks was charged with grand larceny auto and reckless driving, police said. The suspect, who had previous assault charges from 2020 for allegedly striking a person with a pole, is reported to have appeared in court on Friday.
"He almost killed like four people … There were people in the cab there too. It's crazy," someone is heard saying in the video as Brooks is escorted away from the scene.

The New York Post also reported the yellow cab driver was taken to the hospital with pains in his right hip and back. In addition, a passenger in the taxi was also sent to a local hospital for pain in her right hip, according to court documents.

Blame the politicians. They created this whole mess.
Hopefully, this alleged perpetrator has already been released on no bail by the time of this writing.
