Democratic Nominee for NYC Mayor Eric Adams Says "We Need Congestion Pricing $ ASAP" After Scenes Of Subway Flooding
Eric Adams retweets video of woman navigating flooded subway station saying that NYC "needs congestion pricing $ ASAP" to upgrade transport infrastructure
Fresh off securing the Democratic nominee for NYC Mayor, Eric Adams weighed in on a video of a woman trying to navigate a flooded subway station - blaming decades of bad spending decisions by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA). Adams called for “congestion pricing $ ASAP” to help update MTA infrastructure that could better absorb flash storm runoff. As we wrote recently, we believe the implementation of congestion pricing will be a major inflection point for the NYC for-hire transportation industry. With Adams on course to win the Mayoral Election in early November, it’s interesting to note his support for quickly implementing a congestion pricing system. Something to keep track of!
