You are saying it is the form for plate, but actually it is for license, isn’t it? So if we get license, they they will give plate also???

The vast majority of people refer to the FHV License as a “TLC Plate”. FHV License stands for For-Hire Vehicle License & is the technical term referring to the DMV issued TLC vehicle plates. A TLC Drivers License 🪪 allows you to drive in the for-hire transportation industry in NYC and that is NOT what this process is about. This process is ONLY about the FHV EV vehicle license (a/k/a EV TLC Plates). Hope that helps & good luck!

I love the anti-bot system they implemented. Like the first question was how much is 2+2?

I was able to submit a statement of interest, how long does it usually take to receive an email stating that I won for a license?

The TLC will likely provide an update soon, but try emailing LicensingInquiries@tlc.nyc.gov in the meantime. Hope that helps!

Nothing new to report (as of now), but TLC should be providing an update soon (we will let you now if we hear anything). If you got a confirmation email, but not an approval to submit an application, given the 30 day deadline for having an EV...our best guess is you might be on the waitlist. However, that's just a guess!

I see, as an update for you, I received an email saying thanks for my interest and the form has now be closed from TLC. But do you have any information on the March 15 applications on when the winners received their email?

Our understanding is that all successful applicants for the March 15th process have now been informed. Remember, they have 120 days to complete the application process (vs 30 days for this allocation). Given the timeline on both applications, it would also make sense that whoever got a confirmed allocation has already been officially notified, but the waitlist will remain active until the entire process is completed (i.e., if someone doesn't complete within 120 days (or 30 days for today's allocation) then the waitlist starts getting utilized)
