Mayor Adams has tasked TLC Chair David Do with driving electrification of ~78,000 TLC-plated NYC Uber & Lyft (high-volume (HV)) fleet. TLC could issue more EV-only TLC Plates.
NYC Mayor Eric Adams and TLC Chair David Do are proposing EV & WAV trip mandate for ~78,000 TLC-plated fleet that are dispatched by high volume (HV) bases (only includes Uber & Lyft)
Proposal is more specific guidance from similar announcement in January ‘State of the City’ address
TLC will hold online-only hearing on Wednesday, September 20th at 10am, to discuss proposal
