According to New York Post reporting, a NYC TLC-licensed yellow cab driver was slashed in the neck by a passenger who didn’t want to pay for their ride.

The passenger is said to have attacked their 29-year-old TLC driver at around 2 am on Sunday, February 11th. The driver was dropping the woman off in front of a church on 23rd Ave near 89th St in East Elmhurst (Queens) when she (allegedly) refused to pay the fare — and (allegedly) slashed him in the neck instead, according to the NYPD.

The Post reported the taxi driver was taken to the Elmhurst Hospital Center in stable condition with a cut on his neck. The NYPD are asking for help identifying and finding the accused perpetrator.
