TLC actually closed Statement of Interest Form BY DESIGN, 5 minutes after link was made available. Many TLC Drivers left confused & upset.
TLC must clarify why process was run like this.
Thank you for all the interest in the EV licenses! The 600 EV licenses for TLC-licensed drivers are no longer available. You can apply on March 29 for the remaining 400 licenses open for everybody.
(1/2) Due to the unprecedented demand, applications for the 600 licenses filled up within minutes. Another 400 licenses will be available on March 29th.
(2/2) We appreciate the frustration of those who were not able to apply, and we will evaluate this high demand as we move towards meeting the @NYCMayor and TLC's initiative to go 100% zero emission by 2030.
