The remaining 400 (of 1,000) electric vehicle (EV) FHV License (a/k/a TLC Plate) “interest” form opens tomorrow, Wednesday, March 29th at 10am. Unlike the March 15th process, this process will be (1) open to anyone & (2) allow 25 separate (i.e., “one at a time”) submissions per Social Security # or EIN.

Therefore, expect TLC website traffic to be even more significant than the March 15th process 👇.

The TLC EV License website had 25,000 unique visitors this morning! We are evaluating the high demand for these licenses and possible next steps. We're grateful to @nyctaxi staff for working hard to make sure things worked as intended.

In addition, given the “First Come, First Served” process we believe, based on the March 15th process, EV TLC Plates will be allocated within the first 30 to 60 seconds⌛ of the online “Statement of Interest” form becoming active.

Drivers (& others) should prepare to act quickly, making sure they have a strong & stable internet connection 🔗, are not distracted (i.e., driving), reference an accurate watch ⌚📱 and be on the TLC 🖱️🚕 guided site before 10am (refreshing the page constantly as 10am approaches and passes until the form or link to the form appears).

If any new information becomes available, we will update our readers. In addition, we plan to publish actively on Wednesday.
