Uber is selling its self driving unit to Aurora, in exchange for 26% of the self-driving start-up. Uber is likely to license the technology Aurora creates
Uber has decided to sell its autonomous driving unit (known as Uber ATG) to self-driving startup Aurora. Aurora is led by Chris Urmson, a former Google Engineer who led Google’s original self-driving vehicle program that eventually became Waymo.
