New York City’s🗽🍎 for-hire transportation & mobility market is unlike any other in North America. When Uber, Lyft & other “e-hail” apps launched, they had to follow many parts of the existing taxi 🚖 regulatory regime.

After operating one of the largest luxury fleets (“Uber Black”) in NYC, we created AutoMarketplace.

AutoMarketplace is a trade content platform focused on NYC's for-hire transportation industry, including Uber and Lyft (“high volume” services), yellow cabs, green taxis, black car, livery and luxury limousine bases.

The market is often known as the "TLC” industry, a reference to the City's for-hire transportation regulator, the New York City Taxi & Limousine Commission (NYC TLC).

AutoMarketplace is the largest content and distribution platform in New York City's for-hire transportation (TLC) market and has been quoted and referenced in several prominent publications, including Bloomberg, amNewYork, New York Focus, The City College of New York’s University Transportation Research Center (UTRC), and the New York Civil Justice Institute (NYCJI).

The NYC TLC market is a sizeable, niche automotive marketplace that represents billions of dollars in annual, often local, spend across:

  • 175,000+ commercially licensed drivers

  • 105,000+ for-hire vehicles (FHVs)

  • 10,000+ yellow cabs & taxi medallions

If you want to target or reach NYC TLC drivers, fleets and other industry professionals, we believe our newsletter is the place to advertise.

  • 35,000+ monthly newsletter views

  • 2,300+ newsletter subscribers, ~50% open rates

  • 2,500+ YouTube subscribers with over 510,000 total views

    • Our videos are often embedded into newsletter articles

Whether you are an insurance broker, TLC rental company, taxi medallion garage, dealership, financial institution, black car base, auto repair shop, startup, or other organization trying to reach the TLC community, our ad rates (see below) provide an easy to understand “return on advertising” 💰.

An AutoMarketplace ad should pay for itself. If your insurance broker sells 1 policy, aided by AutoMarketplace, the advertising is paying for itself. If your dealership sells 1 or 2 cars, the advertising is paying for itself. If a rental company leases out 2 vehicles, the ads are paying for themselves, etc.

Ad Rates

In our newsletter articles, we only advertise one company, service or product per article to make the ad more effective and focused. In other words, there are not multiple companies, services or products being advertised within a single article.

One article ad consists of a full “body” ad that’s included within the article. If a reader clicks on the ad it will automatically go to a website of your choice. AutoMarketplace [+] is an article series that is generally more technical and engaged (e.g., NYC TLC insurance market share breakdown).

Body Ad example (within article). If you click on ad goes to website of your choice (dimensions vary).

There are no long-term commitments or contracts (unless you want one). You simply just pay for the ad(s) ahead of time.

  • 1 ad in 1 article: $300 (typically 2,000 views)

  • 1 ad in 1 [+] article: $350 (~2,500 views & more engagement)

  • 2 ads in 2 articles: $500 or $250 per article (~4,000 views)

  • 3 ads in 3 articles: $600 or $200 per article (~6,000 views)

At this time we cannot sell more than three ads per month and more than one ad per month in our [+] series. We typically publish 8 to 12 articles per month.

Need help designing an ad?

We can use your ad designs, as long as they fit certain ad dimensions and do not damage our brand. If you need help designing an ad we charge an additional $100 (up to 5 design iterations included) and you will have full rights to use the design (can use the ad wherever you like).
