As a driver who has worked both driven a yellow taxi through a garage and driven for Uber my own vehicle owner/operator, I will NEVER go back to driving a yellow cab. Why? To be abused by dispatchers who demand tips yet treat you like crap? To be forced to work low-revenue nights despite claims of being an independent contractor so that the garage gets their flat leasing fee no matter how little you, the driver, earns? Please.
