I worked for revel rideshare and the pay was unrealistic for nyc livelihood. Minimum wage with the minimum tip from passengers 50 cents. (No joke at all) not to mention I was working during the time revel gave free promo codes and spreed like wildfire through out nyc blogs. It was like yellow cab and Uber/Lyft did not exist in picking up passengers. Overworked and underplayed.

Thank you for this insight. Have you left the TLC industry? Would actually be really interested in hearing about your experience. If you’re open to speak about it (confidentially) in more detail please email us info@automarketplace.com.

Thanks again!

Was fortunate to be 1 of the 600 ev license applicants to get chosen. A huge difference in work balance and pay. Revel just hires anyone with a tlc license and hence have a huge turnover. I’ve last herd they bumped pay via incentives such as attendance, 50+ hr ft drivers, positive passenger review, and new driver bonus and pay weekly instead of bi weekly (when I was there). All to maintain drivers intact but if you’ve been in this industry long enough it’s all a con.
