Why hasn't Uber Lyft cracked down on these corrupt drivers it doesn't make any sense, when they are locking accounts of honest hardworking drivers my Lyft account has been off over 2 weeks now

After reading this article I am seething 😡! Why are the Immoral 800 only being considered for slap-of-the-wrist civil charges by a NYC government agency? This should only be the beginning of a conversation that should be ending with CRIMINAL convictions for fraud, theft of services, wire fraud, and a host of other Federal, State, and local criminal charges. And here’s the thing:Uber knows pretty much at this time who these illegal drivers are. It’s very easy to filter out with all the data they have:

1. You look for those drivers who statistically had much higher UR than most drivers.

2. You take that list and see which of those drivers used older apps before the security features were put in place.

3. You DEACTIVATE those drivers.

4. You ask the two individuals who were arrested and are looking at 20 years to give up their master list of drivers. Federal prosecutors can do that under a plea deal.

5. You arrest, prosecute, and convict those drivers so that other drivers will see there is fairness and as a deterrence in the future if anyone gets any ideas for fraud in the future. You collect treble damages of the extra amounts they stole and make that part of their restitution payments.

Here’s the great part. Once you have 800 crooked drivers off of the road, UR starts going up and those honest drivers remaining get to make more money. I bet lockouts also magically disappear with 800 greedy, crooked drivers off of the road. These fraudsters should not even be compared to the yellow taxi scandal at the airports because this was on a much grander scale and has had an unimaginable impact on honest drivers (like myself) that play by the rules. The honest drivers were subject to lockouts all over NYC. The taxi drivers just had to wait longer at the airports. I don’t have compassion for these 800 crooked drivers at all. In fact, I have nothing but contempt for people who constantly want to cut a line (albeit digital) I am on merely because they are engaging in outright illegal corruption.
