Is the UR measured from Jan to Dec?

That’s a very good question, will try to confirm it 100%. Believe it’s either Mar to Feb OR Apr to Mar because adjustments to minimum pay are pushed through in March.

Just got an official answer from someone at Uber who knows the details - "The first is April - December and then it’s calendar year. This year UR will finish strong." So, for 2023 it'll end this December (it'll only be measured on 9 months this year. The going forward Jan to Dec, as you originally thought

I am a new TLC license holder… but been waitlisted on uber and lyft, how can I speed up the process? As I dont have my own vehicle

Think easiest way to speed up process is rent a wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV), as they might give a WAV preference vs. non-WAV when you're on the waitlist. Just a thought, but not a guarantee. Hope it helps!

Thats a great idea… but the issue is if I rent that vehicle for 600 plus a week … $2400 a month while the vehicle sits at home 😭 and no guarantee!

Would you suggest using someone elses WAV vehicle information? And if that goes through can I change the info to a rental?

This is true, but would view this all as a sort of investment to get access to NYC TLC trips / market (i.e., waitlists are likely only going to get longer, and in the future, it'll probably get harder to access Uber/Lyft NYC). Personally, know a driver who had to wait ~6 weeks with non-WAV to get off Uber NYC waitlist and he's STILL on the Lyft NYC waitlist!

Would not mess around too much with trying to game their system, as if they figure it out and it breaks their terms of service, you might get permanently banned. So, would be cautious, but not saying what you're saying wouldn't work. Would just be cautious doing that. As you might know, once your "deactivated" by Uber or Lyft it's hard to undo that.
